Diamond D Angelina

I was informed a few weeks ago that the owner of Diamond D Angelina, a half sulphur red dun mare out of Teardrop Annie, is looking for a home for her. Angel is by a stallion that was passed off as a Sulphur horse and registered in the SMR, but the SHR did not register him, so she's registered in the appendix. If you are interested in this mare, let me know, and I'll try to put you in contact with the owner.

Do you have any further info regarding this mare? Size, training, location, etc.
I am talking to someone right now who is looking for a horse for a client...we have a sulphur gelding that I gave her information on, however, we know this geldings sire is Teguayo, but only know that his dam is a bay sulphur. These clients are particular about registry information I am told, so was just wondering...even though the sire was passed into the SMR as a sulphur, if we know the info on the mare, then they might be interested. They tend to like the little taller southwest type of which our gelding fits that bill.
Just wondering...you never know if you can place a horse in a good home!

I have a picture of this mare as a filly, but that's about it. She was registered by the breeder, but the buyer never transferred her so I don't know the name of the current owner. Someone told me that the current owner had approached him about buying her. Since she's also registered in the SMR you could try them.
I would hope she's broke to ride-if not the buyer has done nothing but feed her for the past 10 years.
It's too bad people are breeding horses without registering them, so that information, such as the dam of your gelding, is lost.

Thank you Sheri...do you happen to know what her SMR registration is as this gal will probably ask....and is that her original name or was it changed at some point?
Also, please don't think I am being snarky...when comments are made on people not registering their horses, I personally understand what you are saying, however, keep in mind, that people have various reason for not registering their horses...some valid and some not...maybe some people are not registering because there has been way too much dissension and politics among people and registries and do not wish to partake in any of that?! It has happened with alot of the SM registries, and people just get tired of it and figure why register horses at all. Also, perhaps some meant to register, have multiple horses and perhaps fell upon economic times and are just trying to get through, but may do so in the future if they foresee a registry worthy of registering their horses in...please keep an open mind.
Again, not being personal, just honest and providing other possible scenarios.

I understand there are a lot of excuses that people don't register, but there are consequences to their inaction, as well as valid rebuttals to their reasons, that I think justify my dismissal of most them. If people don't want to register that's their prerogative; 10 years down the line when someone is looking to buy the horse and there's no paperwork verifying it's parentage, the seller and the horse are the ones that suffer, not me.

Sorry I haven't gotten back on this. I'll try to get hold of the fellow in question soon. Until then, you might want to check into two horses here:

Thank you Kim, for working so hard to find out where these horses are.
