Hey all!
I am on cloud 9!! La Victoria, a purebred Spanish Sulphur mare qualified for the state championship breeders series under judge Hilda Gurney!!!! Everyone and their brother were asking me what breed she was and were all so excited when she qualified for the championship!! Hilda gave Victoria some very nice compliments and on her score card said that Victoria is a "breeding horse type" and that she has "harmonious conformation suitable for producing dressage performers". She also states that she "shows potential to produce competitive dressage horses that could progress through the levels". She also gave me a fantastic compliment in that Victoria was "well handled".
So, looks like me and La Victoria will be attending the state championship in October at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center!! I am SO EXCITED!! We got a big blue ribbon that went around Victoria's neck that denoted that she is qualified for the championship! Pictures and video were taken.
For those that don't know who Hilda is, she is like a house hold name in the world of dressage. She judges honestly and without prejudice. I had such a wonderful time today!!
