Been awhile since I updated this post.
I would like to say that at this time all three of the girls are progressing to the point that they ALL have been saddled. Yes even Cami. Did that this morning.
Pictures will follow.
Lori and I have hired Joel Sheridan(former Mustang Extreme Reserve grand Champion)to work with us filling holes in our training. So far it's just been little stuf, but he's good and I'm glad we have him here in Acton.

His website is here: www.joelsheridan.com

I would never have gotten this far with Cami without him...and he hasn't even had touched her or have I had a lesson with her. I have been working Annie.

Switched it up on Sunday this week and in 3 days have Cami almost to the point Annie is. Annie is SOOO willing, Cami is getting there, so from now on Cami and I will work with Joel. I'll work Annie by myself because she is so EZ PZ.

Saddled Cami for the first time this morning. Though itchey about all the goins on, she stood and let me fidget with all the tack. I didn't realize how substancial a mare she is. I had to let out the right girth Latigo a lot to even up the girth on her. Through it all, Cami stood still and took it.

Pictures to follow. I gotta go work a horse.
Thanks again to Jan Colwell for entrusting Cami to me.

Welcome to the board.
There are a few Sulphur's out there that need a good home.
We got 3 from a couple folks in Oregon last Dec. at this time all three are being trained. Even the older ones do great. Our girls are 6, 9 and 11.

I don't happen to know of any off hand, but I'm sure someone will speak up.

Hello,

I am looking to add a Sulphur to our home in AZ.  Experienced horsewoman with a fantastic forever home.

Tried to get plans out to see some Brumbies (and better yet, ride one!), but alas, that did not end up happening. Oh well! I got to go on two rides both on Standardbreds that were saved off the track.

I fly home on Wednesday (Tuesday for USA).

Been having an amazing trip out here and made some new friends (although not horsey).

People out here are very intrigued when I tell them about the Spanish Sulphurs and their old Iberian heritage. I forgot that Spanish horses (let alone old Iberian) is not a common thing out in Aus.

I am also reading this amazing book called This is the Spanish Horse by Juan Llamas. One of the best and non-biased books on Spanish horses that I have read to date (although I am still in the process of reading this book). Absolute page turner and a real eye opener as to what a real Spanish horse (not modern PRE and PSL) is really like. I think that if all of the HOA and SM registries read it that they would glean a generous amount of information on how to better select horses to register and call Spanish.

I have been in Australia since July 27th. Just got back from Sydney last night and am currently about an hour away from Brisbane (south of it in Gold Coast at my friend's house). Got to see the number one Aussie trance DJ for free thanks to my friend's connections! lol

Victoria is currently about 2 months pregnant. She was bred to Mestene's Pueblo on June 8th. He is by Sulphur's Chance and out of Mestene (The Blue Stallion x Sulphur's Molly). I am hoping that Victoria will produce a healthy zebra dun foal for me as she has only ever produced grulla (not that I am complaining! I love grulla, but I am hoping that she spices things up and produces the other of the two colors that she can produce! lol

Flying home on August 11th. I miss my sassy and opinionated horse! My trainer tells me that she looks 8 months pregnant! LOL Victoria is being worked for the October CA state dressage championships. She is competing in the in-hand mares class as she qualified under no other than two time dressage Olympian Hilda Gurney back in June!! Hoping my girl does well and brings some much needed attention to this amazing breed of horse!

Glad everyone is safe.
We had fires last week and last year(Crown Fire Last Week and Station Fire last year). close enough to see the water dumps and the aviation heroics.  Smokey times.

Those firefighters deserve all the thanks and admiration they can get. They are something else and I make a point to thank as many as I can when they are nearby on break or resting.
